Of Ghanaian Ivorian origin, Kinley is a young multidisciplinary artist from the Paris region. It is in the search for his origins that the inspiration for the exhibition “Modern Tribe” came to her.
Following a trip to Ivory Coast, in Abidjan, where she hoped to discover the true African culture, she was surprised by the lack of knowledge of the Ivorian youth regarding the history of their people. Thus, through photography and makeup, she staged a new modern tribe. The aim was to make a reminder that before the African lands were colonized, we had a history, tribes to which we pay less and less attention.
