Kalia Nature, the hair care brand for textured hair, is organising this month’s most eagerly awaited event, Pink October. Here’s why you should be there this Saturday.

Pink October, supporting breast cancer awareness
As every year, October is dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer through the Pink October initiative. This movement aims to inform the public about this disease, encourage early screening and support research. To do this, a brand sponsors the event once a year. This year, Kalia Nature is creating a surprise. Sophie, the co-founder, feels strongly about the cause, as it was during a self-examination that she discovered triple cancer in her left breast. But Sophie did not join the movement because she was a cancer survivor; her loved ones also suffered from the disease. Like her aunt, who also had two cancers, one in her ovary and the other in her breast.
When entrepreneurship meets commitment
With great power comes great responsibility. Despite her battle with cancer, Sophie remains a business leader. Her strength lies in her tenacity. She is ill, but she has decided not to let it get her down. She works tirelessly to hide the difficulties she faces from her staff and, above all, she continues to take care of her appearance and fights to prevent the cancer from gaining ground. If the disease is allowed to take hold, it risks gaining the upper hand.

The event is open to everyone this Saturday, 25 October, from 2pm to 7pm at the 123 Sébastopol hotel, 75002 Paris. The programme includes cosmetics conferences, tea time, an exhibition, testimonials, advice on your image and learning how to take care of yourself again, as well as gifts from the brand. To participate, you must book via the Kalia Nature website. Your booking will be made by purchasing their iconic hibiscus cream and skincare product for €5. It’s a great way to try the brand’s products while doing a good deed.
