Kaporal launches “HORS CADRE”, a gallery of portraits of personalities who move the lines.
In partnership with the Kourtrajmé film school, which opened its doors in Marseille two years ago, Kaporal continues to develop its brand positioning for the bold. This year, Kaporal is offering a series of short films for its social networks, produced by students from the film school in Marseille.
They will feature five young “talents”, the young Venezuelan conductor Glass Marcano, Pola Freestyle, professional freestyle footballer, Justin Fouque, BMX virtuoso artist, Hemma Lange, designer inspired by upcycling and Eric Akopian, president and co-founder of “Clean my Calanques”, committed to the preservation of the eco-system, especially the Mediterranean coastline. The first episode opens with the brilliant Glass Marcano, 25 years old, Venezuelan conductor with an incredible career path, full of pitfalls, whose will and joy of living are examples to follow.
There are personalities who know how to provoke destiny. While studying, working and attending night classes in Venezuela, Glass Marcano was desperate to enter the famous La Maestra competition, a competition for women conductors. A number of obstacles were put in the way, starting with the registration fee of 150 euros (the average salary in Venezuela is 2.5 dollars and Glass Marcano cannot afford it). But with determination, the young chef overcame all the obstacles and ended up passing the competition in Paris, in extremis. Although she did not win the competition, she won the Orchestra Prize awarded by the Paris Mozart Orchestra and entered the Paris Regional Conservatory. Since then, her career has exploded and her journey has been like a fairy tale. Glass Marcano is also the first black woman to conduct an orchestra in Europe.
