Gap presents Generation Good

    From passionate teen activists to self-defined creators, Gap Generation Good is shaping the future, charting a positive and inclusive path for people and the planet.

    This spring, Gap continues to champion modern American optimism by amplifying the voices of Generation Good – a collective of unique individuals acting for strength in numbers. Acting on shared values of inclusion, diversity, sustainability and community, these pioneers are changing the paradigm, propelling a real shift in the way we show ourselves, represent, listen and learn across generations. Through its founding ideals and creative expression, Generation Good inspires the good in all of us, working together for a better future.

    “As we announced earlier this month, Gap and Gap Inc. will accelerate their representation commitments with The Pledge, and by becoming an Advocacy Partner, align with The Pledge’s mission to create a fairer industry,” said Aurora James, Creative Director and Founder of 15 Percent Pledge.

    Gap Inc. is donating $200,000 to 15 Percent Pledge and increasing its current programs by 15%, starting with early empowerment programs including internships, apprenticeships and training. In honour of Black Month History, Gap underscores its commitment to performance with The Gap Collective’s Spring Capsule, designed by Courtney Minor, Tatiana Hill and Dwayne Dupréy, artists and allies of Gap Inc.’s African-American networking group. This initiative builds on Gap and Gap Inc.’s partnership with 15 Percent Pledge to increase access and opportunities for black and Latino communities.

    Generation Good is also present with a homonymous collection of the most eco-responsible basic products to date. Made of organic and recycled products for all generations, Generation Good redefines iconic new products that tick all the boxes on the Gap Good List: less waste, less water, fewer emissions, better materials and support for workers. Launched on World Water Day, March 22, the capsule promotes environmentally friendly products while reducing the impact on the planet.

    Whether it’s products with a purpose, youth representing the next generation or adult pioneers inspiring generations, GENERATION GOOD brings together: a space where new things – good things – can happen. Join the Gap and the #GenGood movement.
