With the team KODD, we went for a weekend to Bréchamps, a charming little village listed as one of the most beautiful in the Eure Valley and located only a few minutes from the Castle of Nogent-Le-Roi and the Cathedral of Chartres.
We left our luggage in a comfortable cottage in the middle of nature: an ideal place to recharge our batteries, to write, to read, to meditate or to soak our feet in the river.
Our accommodation gave access to a large natural space near a river where a large table and chairs are installed as well as a hammock. The hammock has many benefits, such as supporting the body at all points and therefore relieving a lot of back pain. In addition, because it completely envelops the body, the hammock has the effect of a cocoon and significantly lowers stress levels.
During this weekend we enjoyed the calm and serene surroundings. There are many possibilities for beautiful walks, fishing in the village pond or in the Eure !
Indeed, Bréchamps is an unusual village nestled in a mini valley. You have to go there to discover it… And go from surprise to surprise… From Nogent le roi, dare to take the hairpin bends and go up to a forest plateau, cross it to come down into a setting of old houses whose pearl is its church with its neo-Byzantine bell tower.
From Coulombs, you arrive at the community pond surrounded by its superb weeping willows. Following the road and skirting the Maltorne river, you will come across pretty streets, a wash house and beautiful houses.
We had a wonderful stay! Everything was above our expectations. Sophie and Sébastien were great hosts. Thank you very much for discovering Brechamps and for opening your doors to us. 🙂
We would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet but not only ! Enjoy the setting, put your watches and phones down and don’t pay any attention to the passing of time. A real well being, for a short or long stay.
