House of Meert is an iconic institution of French pastry and gourmet food, based in Lille, in the north of France. Founded in 1761, the house is famous for its heritage of craftsmanship and timeless elegance, representing both tradition and refinement.
The Meert speciality
The Meert waffle, the undisputed star of the house, is its filled waffle, a fine, moist delicacy topped with subtly sweet Madagascar vanilla. It’s a unique recipe, unchanged since the 19th century. The pastries on offer are a range of refined pastries, from chocolate éclairs to millefeuilles and more modern creations. Meert has already produced some magnificent love-themed pastries for Valentine’s Day. Confectionery and chocolates are an emblem of the house, and they are also renowned for their caramels and fruit jellies, with a collection already ready to celebrate Easter.
