3,000 nights, the drama of Mai Masri that tells the tragic fate of a woman imprisoned and sentenced to 8 years in prison for a crime she did not commit. Her imprisonment, already complex, takes a turn when the young woman learns that she carries a child.
The main actress, with Leila Bekhti’s airs, plays her role perfectly and transport us in a dark and hard universe, marked by an overflowing sincerity. In a very tense and complicated atmosphere, we follow the story of Layal, this young Palestinian teacher imprisoned in Israeli poles. A hint of light is invoked during the film when Layal gives birth to her child, in prison.
Arriving in a tragic and violent atmosphere, marked by the conflicts between the two peoples, Layal manages to integrate in red and a hint of hope and resistance between the walls. Some passages are a throwback to mankind and to an effacement of conflicts.
Maisa Abd Elhadi, Nadira Omran, Raida Adon, and many other wonderful actors, a gripping story and a return to reality are three good ingredients to shed a slight tear on the audience. A film not to be missed, a story to think about…At the cinema from the 4th of January, 2017 !
