International luxury outerwear brand Moose Knuckles has collaborated with graphic artists from around the world to create and sell unique pieces as part of a global initiative to raise funds for those suffering during the pandemic. Each artist is using a white Moose Knuckles “Lead Rider” jacket as a blank canvas. The unique and wearable artwork will be available for sale on May 8, 2020 via the MKGAF landing page on mooseknucklescanada.com, and will retail for $600 each.
Moose Knuckles is working with local curators in cities with strong creative communities, including New York, Paris, Milan, Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles and San Francisco, to identify 12 artists per region to create these works. The net proceeds from the sale of the artists’ program will support those who need it most, including the following local hospitals in some of the program cities :
– The Paris Hospitals (Société des Hôpitaux de Paris)
– Mount Sinai Hospital, New York
– Le Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), Montreal
– Jewish General Hospital Foundation, Montreal
– San Raffaele Hospital, Milan
The campaign’s world tour is in full swing.
Artists have carte blanche to create their works, the only creative guideline being “positivity in the face of the pandemic”. Office Magazine editor and friend of the brand, Marz Lovejoy, organized the New York component by selecting artists such as Smurfo Udirty, Claw Money and Richie Shazam. YARD, a Paris-based creative agency known for its ingenuity in connecting with the urban generation through its work at Through music, sports and fashion, did the same in Paris, selecting names such as Seas5, Kader Diaby and Taqwa Bintali.
Artists are currently being selected in Milan, California and Canada to participate in the Moose Knuckles Gives a F ** ck campaign and will be announced in the coming weeks.
