Clémentine Sandner is a French designer based in Kyoto. She is teaching design at the International ESMOD of Kyoto, and created her own brand of streetwear and accessories.
She recently released a line of bags, backpacks and handbags (Scarabé, Moon, Obi). The bags are made from old fabrics of kimono, and other materials recycled as seat belts or military blankets.
Clémentine Sandner also collaborated with a creative craftsman of traditional umbrellas, Tomoko Kamata. Even if she is 86 years old, she keeps producing her umbrellas so she hascollaborated with the French designer for a hand-made collection with very good design.
Presented her two collections during an exhibition at the Takasegawa Shiki AIR gallery in Kyoto from 18 to 20 November 2016, you must to follow this young brand.
